Enter this world.

The company pays too well for perimeter duty, and the men who hesitate are still out there. Hunting for his missing father in a swamp that has swallowed a dozen workers, a guard opens something he should have left shut — and the queen that comes out of it does not want him dead. She wants a father for her young, and the last ones she took were bad at it.
